Yesterday, on November 9, for the first time there was a meeting of foreign students of Saratov State Technical University with the representatives of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Saratov and Samara regions.

Every year, courses in Russian as a foreign language are held at Saratov State Technical University. Afterwards, the students can continue their studies in Bachelor's or Master's programs at any Russian university.

The first student from India, Yogesh Waghmare, has  arrived at Saratov State Technical University named after Yuri Gagarin.

On November 2, within the walls of the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, football, kettlebell lifting and powerlifting tournaments were held among university students dedicated to the "Day of National Unity".

On the eve of the Day of National Unity in the concert hall of the Socio-Economic Institute of Yuri Gagarin SSTU a gala concert of the VIII city open festival of national arts "In a Single Family" was held. Over the years of the annual event its participants and visitors were able to learn better the diverse culture of the peoples of Russia and foreign countries.

In the year of the 30^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. SSTU continues to strengthen and expand cooperation with universities in Kazakhstan. It develops fruitfully in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, including education, research and culture.

From 19 to 21 October in SSTU visited a delegation from West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology. The event took place within the framework of the agreement on cooperation in the field of science and education.

On October 14^th in the administration of municipal formation "Saratov city" a round table took place devoted to social and cultural adaptation of migrants. The employees of the committee on public relations and tourism, representatives of national-cultural associations and Saratov higher educational institutions, including the Saratov State Technical University named after Gagarin Y. A. attended the event.

On October 10, at the stadium of Saratov State Technical University a game of the Cup "Friendship of Nations" among foreign  students took place.

On October 5th the Teacher's Day was celebrated in Russia, and on this day a teacher from Venezuela came to Saratov State Technical University to study Russian.
