Students of Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov became participants of annual bilateral youth events - Russian-Kyrgyz youth meeting and Russian-Tajik forum held in Moscow as well as Russian-Kazakh forum "Young scientists" in Samara. The Forums were organized by MIREA - Russian Technological University, National Council of Youth and Children Associations of Russia, Moscow State University Information and Analytical Centre for the Study of Social and Political Processes in the Post-Soviet Space with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Two new students from Afghanistan and Iraq came to our university. Romal Omari, a student from Afghanistan, has been interested in Russian education for a long time. He began his distance learning program a year ago, attending an online preparatory course. Despite various obstacles, he showed persistence and received a quota from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

This new professional holiday, established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in honor of the birthday of Mikhail Lomonosov, the outstanding Russian
scientist who founded the country's first university, will be truly special for the teaching staff at all universities in our country.

On the basis of the International Center for Testing, Translation and Language Training of Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, teachers of the Department of History and Cultural Studies annually hold courses in Russian language. After the training, students can enroll in one of the Russian educational programs at the university.

About 100 people from all institutes of the university were vaccinated with "Sputnik-Lite". According to the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the vaccination campaign is conducted at the expense of extra-budgetary funds. The Technical University found a way to provide everyone who wanted the vaccine free of charge.

On November 11, 2021 the closing ceremony of VII "Volga-Yangtze" Russian- Chinese Youth Forum was held. Students and postgraduates of higher educational establishments located in the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation and regions of the Upper and Middle reaches of the Yangtze River in China (provinces Anhui, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and the central city of Chongqing) took part in the forum.

Today, on the 11^th of November, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation held public hearings on “Problems of National Security and Support foreign students”.

Online excursion in Saratov Cathedral Mosque is specially organized for foreign students of Saratov universities. The relevance of such events is due to the interest of foreign students from Arab and near abroad countries, mostly of the Muslim faith. The event is aimed at cultural and spiritual-moral adaptation of foreign citizens, which is especially important for the quality of their stay outside their traditional socio-cultural environment.

The agreement on cooperation was signed by the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Agency Evgeny Primakov and the Rector of the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, D.Sc. in Historical Science, professor, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Naumov.

Nikolai Maksimov, a student of the Institute of Applied Information Technology and Communications of the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, from October 24 to November 2 took part in the forum of intercultural exchange "Functions of the Press in Russia and Beyond".
